"Mock" Draft

It's NFL Draft day, and I have been reading all the mock drafts done by every sports analyst and fan in the country. I thought about the true meaning of the word "mock" and realized no one did one the way it should be done. With that in mind, here is my 2012 Mock Draft for the first 10 picks.

1. Indianapolis Colts - In all the excitement they forget they cut Peyton Manning and pass on Andrew Luck, instead drafting a punter with the first pick. Luck falls all the way to the New England Patriots who use him as Tom Brady's successor and win 8 more Superbowls.

2. Washington Redskins - As everyone expected they draft Robert Griffin III, and he goes to Ryan Leafs Quarterback Camp and works out with their new coach, Jamarcus Russell.

3. Minnesota Vikings - They trade their entire draft for a new stadium.

4. Cleveland Browns - They take Justin Blackmon, but realizing they have only had one winning season in the past 10 years he decides to sign with the Arena Football league instead.

5. Tampa Bay Bucs -They select RB Trent Richardson. (Hey, they can't all be funny)

6. St. Louis Rams - Even though the Rams have no need for a QB, Jeff Fischer takes Ryan Tannehill, just to piss off the Dolphins.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars - It doesn't matter who they pick. They will be in Los Angeles in a couple years anyway.

8. Miami Dolphins - Trying for another celebrity splash, they draft Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, even though he is 5'6', 165lbs and 63 years old. Just imagine the entire stadium chanting "Rudy, Rudy, Rudy" as he naps on the sidelines.

9. Carolina Panthers - In a panic they miss their draft pick while searching for listening devices in their draft war room put their by division rival New Orleans.

10. - Buffalo Bills - They have a draft pick? They haven't even played in the NFL for several years!

OK, that's all I have. It is pretty early in the morning still and I haven't even finished my first cup of coffee. Enjoy watching the first round tonight, and here's hoping the Dolphins don't screw it up!

We will cover the draft on the DFO Radio Show next week.
