Of AFC Quarterbacks so far this season lets compare stats and see how they rank
---------------------Pennington--------------------Favre
Yards--------------5th - 3,218-----------------7th - 3052
QB Rating---------2nd - 95.1------------------7th - 86.5
INT (Least)---------1st - 6----------------------16th - 17
TD-------------------8th - 14---------------------4th - 21
Their team records are the same, and the only reason that Favre leads in touchdowns is because the Jets are a more one dimensional offense. The Dolphins are on pace to set a record for least amount of turnovers in a season (10 after 14 games, record is 14) which shows that Pennington is controlling the ball and the game.
So, the Pro Bowl voting has shown that it is simply a popularity contest. The NFC did vote Eli Manning in, and he should have gotten in for the way the Giants have played this year, and it seems to be a late honor for last season. Kurt Warner guided the lowly Cardinals to a division record for the first time since....well, most of us can't remember that far back. Drew Brees got in based simply on stats, total passing yards to be exact, despite the fact that their team is in last place in their division.
So, the best way for the Dolphins to show everyone that Pennington should have gotten in is to beat the Jets and win the division!
